this is not license-related
and what does ALU support say? (sorry, i'm little ironic, spent year and a half proving bugs, now - after two years the hotfixes came into production software SPS and CCS :D )

Root Cause “why is RTI-Connector not connecting”

• 3 x NIC RAS & Routing Service activated (used because I simulated the customers Network)


Bad issue RTI-Connector is not connecting to WBM
######################### following error message in RTI log ##################################################
2012-09-26 23:05:19 : adding statistic names used to get configuration and Agent object type
2012-09-26 23:05:20 : Socket Error : [10061]:Connection is forcefully rejected... retrying to connect to WBM...
2012-09-26 23:05:20 : Disconnecting from soft panel manager
################################################################################################################


• 1. attempt to solve the bad issue
o stopping only the RAS & RAS & Routing Service
restart of RTI service and Softpanel service
--without success same issue

• 2. attempt to solve the bad issue
o RAS & RAS & Routing Service is still stopped
o Shutdown of win 2008 Server
Deletion of 1 Routing interface (now I VM has 2x NIC)
start of Server an testing
same issue …without success

• 3. attempt to solve the bad issue
o RAS & RAS & Routing Service is still stopped  it’s not possible to start that Service because of only one Interface
o Shutdown of win 2008 Server
Deletion of all Routing interface (now only 1xNIC is left…like in productive use)
start of Server an testing
same issue …without success

• 4. Reinstall of SoftpanelManager & RTI Server
o 1. SPM installation
o 2. RTI Server installation
o 3. like in Dokumentation “Error # 429: ActiveX component can't create object“ appear
o 4. copy running “ccs.ini” --> c:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Alcatel\CCSupervisor
even without restart of RTI Service …

So end is good all is good! Everything is running perfectly!

rticonnector.ini was not the problem, i tried already "localhost" and "ipAdress"
no filters was set... "*"
Alcatel Support guy "Mikael" wasvery friendly, tested with me about 3 hour in my VM-LAB, he was very good in SPM but also wondering because that issue :-)
Later we did the installation togehter in productive evironment there we had only 1NIC, so the installation was done in 10 minutes!

Hi Folks,

here is the solution, running SPM with more then 1 x LAN Interface:

Check that the IP address in the below files are the same. If not, please fill in the same IP address
• C:\SoftPanelServer\tomcat\webapps\wbm\WEB-INF\classes\activemq.xml
• C:\Program Files\Alcatel-Lucent\RTIConnector\RTIConnector.ini

After restart the RTIConnecter service and the Ssoftpanelserver service.




btw:
SPM manual it's not really clear which is the correct order to install...

1.CCS installation and configuration
2. Install SPM
3. install RTI Server
4. specific for Windows 2008 PostInstallation

-Check that SoftPanelServer and RTIConnector services are started.
-Go to the RTIConnector logs directory « C\Program Files (x86)\Alcatel-Lucent\RTIConnector\logs ».
Open rticonnector_date.log.
Wait for the lines :
2012-09-03 16:28:47 : Connected to WBM
2012-09-03 16:28:47 : Soft panel manager connected, subscribing to RTI keepalive
2012-09-03 16:28:52 : Retrying to connect to CCS........
2012-09-03 16:30:52 : Error # 429: ActiveX component can't create object

-The directory « C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Alcatel\CCSupervisor » on 64bits edition or
« C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Alcatel\CCSupervisor » should be automatically created.
Copy in this directory the file ccs.ini located in
“C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\local\Alcatel\CCSupervisor\”.
Restart the RTIConnector service. Wait for 2 minutes and check statistics are sent to the SoftPanel.
