I remember such a bug (no external synchro even it was configured on NPRAE access) in R7.1 version
So you'd better have latest SW loaded and tested for this problem as 1st step.

I think I found a solution to this prob sync

I configured port switch and converter E1/IP in 100 Mbit / s Full Duplex to cancel the auto-negotiation on Ethernet, because when you do you are in autonegotiation on port 100MBit / s Full duplex and the other port you find 100MBit / s half duplex, and it raises the prob timing.
