Hello,

I tried to install the ECS (R4) in a VM-Machine. The installation worked fine, but after when the installer finished and wanted to have a reboot of the machine, the system said: No operation system installed....

So I think it is impossible to install the ECS in a VMWare

Forget about the OXO and go for the new BiCS platform for small to medium configurations.

What is BiCS?
Is it the new 500 user, Standalone only, OXE with OTUC minus My Teamwork, built in 4760, single server, supporting CCD Standard?

Correct,
BiCS is the Business Intergrated Communications Server....

It replaces 3 physikal servers by on with VMware on it (OXE R8.0, 4760, OTUC).

Log on to the BPWS and you see on the start-page (marketing) the TOP-STORY about "BiCS".

I´ve seen a presentation about it. It´s quite simple to install (wizard). It lasts about one our and all the three server (virtual) are working...
