You did not install the full distribution, the installation got interrupted, or you did not read the documentation specially around virtual machine setup recommendations.

If you check the pc installer server traces you probably found that the installation was interrupted somewhere, i remember getting same issue when installing f5401 via bios. i got kernel instead of cli prompt. i formate the hdd and reinstall

In the syslog it is complaining re dhcp lease no free addresses which is strange, the linux looks fine.
Have you tried just the base instead of the full version ?

Yes, seems only linux kernel is good.
