so you're telling me that when you search for a name using the QWERTY on the 8 & 9 series, that the phone does not show names that are in the phonebook but are set to 'can not be called by name' using patch 5? :?

Out of interest, there is a parameter somewhere in the 8 & 9 series stuff (near the bottom of the MGR tree) that is related to CBN. Can you tell me what yours is set to? I think its a yes/no field and it is something about should the name be displayed with number or not :?

I will have to check with the customer exactly which type of set he is having beef with. Its def a 8 series IPT set.

Also, its a long shot, but I wonder if you using patch 6e sent new binaries in to your 8 & 9 series sets and when you rolled back to patch 5, the phone was still running new binaries and the problem is cured - somehow I doubt it. :o

Yes.

CBN: Display name without Phonenb: mine is set to no.

Now that you mention it, I know the 4068 updated, I watched it when I switched back to patch 5, but I'm not sure about the 9 series I tested with. So the 4068 on the 5 patch definitely worked properly with the patch 5 binaries.
