Hi Rens,
I can confirm for sure, is ok in R 4.2 as well. I used the same files no problem. I used a normal import, not a scheduled one to test this time.
when you remove the MAC@, is there still a tab before the next field
The separator for each field is a tab, not a space, need to make sure that is the case.
Otherwise, it is very strange.
Cheers

Hello Goldy,
Yesterday I've tested with the latest available version on the BPWS (R4.2.09.03.a) with this version removing the mac address still doesn't work for me. The dash (-) infront of a user however removes the user from the oxe so this is working.
It must be some kind of bug in the version I'm using. Could you check which version of release 4.2 you are testing with?
Regards,
Rens

Hi Rens, I am using 4.6.0.2.a.
Maybe try deleting the MAC@ in the client, then, export the user & have a look at the file again. Maybe there is some format issue.

my version is 4.2.06.02.
import of mac doesn't work here!
may be it is a

bug

(it wouldn't be the first

).
i've not tested all the side effects, but the change of set type to series 9 (and back to series \8) will clean the mac-address info too.
may be this work arround will help...
regards...

Seems to be an issue with the version. I've raised the issue with technical support.
Here is there answer for now:
There is another same issue that is in R&D.I will keep you informed once i get the informations.
So I'll be using the conversion to the digital set for now,
Thanks for all you testing and support,
Rens

Hi,
I've come across this old post.
Did you get an answer to removing MAC address from a user by importing a text file on 4760?
I'm have the same problem using OV 8770 4.2.14
