One OTUC for 4 PBX?

Post by ibuza »

The Feature List for OTUC 3.07 states that the server can handle up to 4 nodes. Does that mean that I need only one OTUC if I have 4 networked PBX?

How do I configure this? I created the second Call Server under Configuration->Services and than used "OTS Maintenance" to "Force loading Qmcdu from Pbx" with no success. I even waited 24h for the auto sync in the night.

Do I need a special license or some other configuration when I want to use the OTUC for more than one node?

Found out that there is a multisite license for the OTUC in ACTIS. Obviously I need that license. If anybody does have a OTUC multisite .lic-file for testing I would be glad if you could send it to: ibuza [at] gmx [dot] net

Ask to Alcatel for it. I don't think someone will share a OTUC license since it's authenticated against Mac Address. It's not like OXE that works for 30 days.

If you install OTUC on VMware you can change the MAC of the VMware-mashine to the desired value. For a test installation the performance loss of VMware should not be the issue.

I don't think something will work on a VMWare, OTUC is really a resources eater.

As I remember that the OTUC administration manual mention a method for multi-PABX configuration. Firstly, modify the number of TSA in the configuration file. Then re-start OTS service such as service tsad restart.
For force loading PABX configuration, you need to use maintenance command follow by port number. I am not remember but it may be tsa_maintenance 3596

Correct, but you need a licence for each node to support such configuration.

What do you mean by "need a licence for each node"?
The licence in the OXE?
116 ECC My Softphone (4980 Std) = 5
117 M ECC 4980 Option (4980 Adv) = 0/ 0
119 4980 nomadic logged = 5

No, in OTUC.
On Actis you must configure the server for multinode so your license has the necessary information.

At first you need a license in each OXE or 4400 which will connect to OTUC-S.

In OTUC R4 you can connect with 1 OTUC-S to 15 OXE/4400

Don´t forget configure only running OXE/4400 in the OTUC-S (bug in Acapi)
