Hi Guys,

can you explain to me how i can backup the data of a 4635J Voicemail?

I have tried it throug swinst but when i choose the option for 4635 data the system is asking me for the name of the remote 4635. Do you have an idea where to find this name?

Thanks
Robert

You have to set up the backup schedule in the 4635 first to point to your CPU and also setup the name, you also have to make sure your 4635 ins in your host table

hello,

you can use a normal ftp-commandline-program too.

Code: Select all

ftp [4635-ip-address]
> get sbr.sbz
take care that the ftp client works in binary mode and backup server is configured in 4635 configuration.

1. configure the Ethernet Interface of the 4635 with the IP-Address of the Enterprise as Backup Server,
2. configure the Backup in the 4635
3. Saving the Database using swinst Menue of the OXE

The file is Saved in /usr4/BACKUP/IMMED

Thanks for the help!

But no i'm faced with an other problem.
I have upgraded a system from Rel 4.1 to Rel 9.0.
In this case i had to change the 4635-Hardware from VPS35 to a VPU6-Board.
Now i want to restore the backup from the VPS35 to the VPU6-Board.
The restore run some time but then the following error ocurse:

Restoring data...

/tmpd/BCK_28233/List_to_BCK
broken pipe: Illegal seek
17/01/10 16:44:16 001001M|---/--/-/---|=2:1288=4635 : general error 00af:0106 a
0000007a

ERROR: Restoration failed

ERROR: a problem occured during data restoration
Press return

Any ideas how to restore the data from the old system to the new one?

Hello Robert

Did you stop the boot process of 4635 and launch the restore operation of the VPU6 before starting the restoring from OXE

Yes you need to use the 4635 Offline Backup Restoration menu as no_wednesday I believe is referring to. If you need a specific procedure I will have to dig one up as I should have one already defined in my personal documentation. Please let me know.
