Hi,

I'm trying ton configure an Audiocode gateway MP112-FXS connected to an OXE R9 (h1.301.27) via SIP.

When i'm using an analog phone connected to gateway, everything works fine : i can receive/make calls etc ... but when i'm using a fax the transmission doesn't work ...

The fax connected to the gateway compose the extension number of a fax in the network, the destination fax answer, and then nothing. After 30 seconds, the communication is terminated and the faxes on the both sides said that an error occurred : "No response"

- The gateway register two SIP extension on the OXE
- Codec is G711
- T38 appears to be enable on the OXE
- T38 is activated on the gateway

Anyone have tried this kind of configuration ?

Thanks !

Hi,

You wrote "The gateway register two SIP extension on the OXE", but in was configured has seplos or not ?
If it is in Seplos modo it will not work.

There is no Seplos, i've just created 2 sip extensions on the Oxe, and the gateway register the 2 extensions like a softphone ...

Hi,
If the sip extensions where created like "Set Type=SIP Extension", then it will not work. This type of set is also called Seplos. If it is the case, you will need to change to "SIP Device". Be attention that for SIP Device there is also need to customize the SIP proxy and the locks are differents

Hi,

You mean, that if i don't have Seplos when i'm using a "SIP Extension" extension, nothing will work or just the fax ? Because I've successfully registered the two Sip users with a soft-phone installed on my computer and everything worked fine...

I'll try modifying the kind of extension.

Thnak you for your reply !

Hi,

If sets are configured as "SIP Extension" it means that they are in SEPLOS (SipEndPointLevelOfService) mode. This mode enhances the range of features since they are considered like an UA set or NOE set. Like this they can use Supervision, tandem, hotel, csta, ...
If they are configured as "SIP Device" the range of feature is basic call, enquiry, conference, transfer and mwi.
Concerning fax, if you want fax, they must be configured as SIP Device
