Hi

I'm having a problem with some new 4029 handsets we wish to connect to our existing OmniPCX Office. When these devices are plugged in the only thing on the display of the phone is V3.70.45 which I guess is the firmware version of the phone?

I downloaded PM5 and changed the Terminal type to 4029 within Subscribers/Basestations list but the same thing happens.

Please help!

there was Eflash from Alcatel for some new sets that have a problem with the Phone firmware and they have instructed partners to return them back to Alcatel. But if you need to connect them to OXE, you can download the correction firmware and solve the problem, if you need to connect them to OXO, then try to use it with R5.1 and the new corrected firmware will be downloaded to the phones and solve the problem.

4029 only works from Rel 4.0 onwards. What release do you have?

Not sure, the only thing I can find is CPU software version 3EH30190AQAA 2.007

The phone firmware I believe is v3.10.02, this is what's shown on the display of the handset.

Same happens if you have connected the 4029 phone to a 4094 S0-module. The module does not fit into the phone mechanically, but i had the module hidden behind the table and replaced only the premium phone with a 4029.

You must upgrade to R 4.0 minimum to make the 4029 work on your system.

You currently have a R 2.0 by the way.
