Long calls over APA-4 get disconnected

Hi guys,

It is now the second system on which this problem occurs.

The system is always a CPU-2 - R.410.xxx - with a APA-4 Board.

When calls come in or out over the APA-Board, sometimes but mostly long calls over about 10 minutes get interrupted.

The problem is, we can't change the settings of the APA Board, because most changes made her, need a restart of the system as fas as i know and theses system can only be shut down about once a year on christmas for some hours :(

What we tested:
- changing the telefones
- checking the connection
- ordered guys from the Telecom to check the telefone connection from outside

Has anyone of you the same problem ? Is there a better solution than updating to a newer release ? Is the problem also with a newer APA board ?

thanks in advance

Avi

Or make a service request to Alcatel to provide you with the settings speciffic for busy tone detection for Germany analog lines.

Here is the answer that we received from Alcatel for busy tone detection on Romtelecom analog lines (170ms/170ms):

The values to configure for a 170ms/170ms busy tone detection are the following BTDMaxWOff => 21 00 BTDMaxWOn => 17 00 BTDMinWOff => 14 00 BTDMinWOn => 0A 00 BuTSiDtPar => modify the 5th byte to 05 (xx xx xx xx 05 xx xx ...) MinBusySeq => 04 00 or 05 00 this must be tested on site and eventually incresed to 06 or 07. Reminder: - Modifications of "BuTSiDtPar" requires a warm start to take the new value into account - The modifications are lost after a cold start.

Pmhail will find these values very interesting.

You may adjust these values to fit the german ones.
