Red Hat for OTUC 4

Post by cavagnaro »

Hi,
I'm trying to install an OTUC 4.1 before going to training to see it and test. now on documentation it indicates it needs a RH Enterprise 4, i Have RH Enterprise AS, is this the correct one? Or do i need the ES or what?

Any help would be great

To Sao Paulo, Brasil dude :D A lot of people is going, it's going to be cool. It's a 2 week training then maybe i'll go to San Francisco as I told you for a Genesys training, but watching my work schedule and all the installations that i have on my shoulders it's a maybe still. on May there is another one on SF, i'll do my schedule to fit that one yes or yes.
Are you going to someone?

Yeah, time is the thing we most lack off.
I'll get all the info i can and will ask as hell, even i know they will say: this course is not for that bla bla bla.
But i'm sure many of the guys that are going have experience and i know some of them from previous training, so i will recollect as much as i can :D and will share the experiences here 8)
What i hate is that dumbs have reduced the length of the training to just one week. On last training the 2 weeks were short and i don't want to think about now. The other week will be C-learning, what a sh*t. How can i test the real failures on a C-learning? Can't touch the Iptouchs, the behaviour of apps on the phones, test the dialing rules, the RSI features, connect 2 OXE's and generate traffic to emulate real calls, etc.
Don't know really what Alcatel guys are thinking, how can we provide good support if training are begining to search more earning for them than knowdledge for us. I really really hope that they realize that this will affect the image of their products on the point that we will not be able to provide fast and accurate support to the customers.

Hope i'm wrong.

RH 4 ES is the correct one. And its necessary to see a white list of servers for the installation. It's possible to install in a AS version, but maybe Alcatel professional service will not give support.

It is important to say that it is not more the Alcatel White list as used to be, instead you can use the RH white list which is obviously much much bigger
