Problem with IVR: Analog users can't use it

Hi there.

We work with an IVR Novxtel, and use a sip trunck. When an analog users wants to use it, he is ejected when the IVR send a REFER frame.
It's working when the user use a digital phone.

You can see two traces, one with an analog phone and the other one with a digital phone.

Here is the error: SIP/2.0 503 Service Unavailable after the REFER frame.

We opened a service request with Alcatel-Lucent. And all that they said is that Novxtel IVR is not AAPP with the OmniPcxEnterprise.

The version is R9.0 patch 43.

REFER method is available on SIP from R.7.x. The OXE states "no resource". Compressors available? Did you tried with other patch?

We made the migration yesterday. 8 nodes for 10000 users in an hospital. No way to try an other patch. Guys from alcatel support tell us that the problem may come from the SIP trunk. Sig is in ABC-F (for OTUC use), we tried during the night with RNIS but with this configuration ALL users (digital and analogique can't be transfered with the SVI).
I think it's a bug from Alcatel. Would like to know if other people here have the same problem with and SVI from a SIP trunk....

Ugly thing...Good luck. You should make yourself a lab system and try to reproduce the issue. In this way you can search for a solution.

For the moment we use a T2 trunk to call this SVI. Have to explain that people who want to reach this SVI will pay for it during the time to search a solution !

sorry no useful info re the issue but a suggestion for temp workaround. get a npre and loop the trunks together. send calls to the IVR out and back in on the looped trunks. this workaround works for some issues caused by ABC-F & QSIG like calls to IAA.
If that works at least no call costs involved while fix found.
