Hi All,
I remember the old post ( please find below ), for transfering wav files without using AAS, i have been trying this procedure but its not working. It shows error file name error, i tried different names but i end up with same error.
Someone can point me to the right name allocation.
OXE - R.9.1
i tried 700_700^, 700_vg0700^, file format 8khz,8bit,mono,A-law,

hi
the format is right
do u try to record vg with ua set?
if yes u need licesense and you have to make a preffix with recordable vg on ua set.after you have to make an assigtment and load the vg file in to the database.

Hi Konstant,
Yes, its working with UA recording, but am trying to find a way to transfer the file directly...as u can see in old forum some folks are replied successful, thats why am looking for this option...everytime i have to go to silent place with ip phone or digital phone for recording...am trying to avoid this...
cheers..

The file to be recognized by OXE, it must have a crc field inside the file, this field is added by AAS.
Maybe if you hex compare the wav file after and before AAS you can check what is this crc field.

Strange CRC with 24 bits.
Easier and faster is to buy AAS or pay some vendor who has AAS to do it for you.
Tried to do it, but well, didn't succeed.
You could always try to have old Ux version of 4400 pluged in ethernet, just ftp vg file there, use some obsolete tool from ALU PS named crc-something-someting-voiceguide, and for some cases it will compute CRC the right way. In some wave files, it whould not.
But: you have to have an old CPU, old Ux software working, the tool it self (it's not available on BPWS), and some luck.
How much does it costs in your area to put a single vg in OXE? If you do it often just buy AAS and some cooledit or audiopad, if not, well just ask someone to make the vg file.
