As you are using 4.1 you can integrate your LDAP with OTUC and then on the Outlook extension the field where the number goes you can write the name all as it is not a number will search on the LDAP directory.
I think this will help you

Hi Alf

This is possible with the 4980 Client if your mentioned .dll is installed via the OTS Manager on the server. You need the full version of the OTS manager which can be found anywhere on the OTUC DVD. Just search for manager. Log on to the server with this tool and select Tools --> Management of the directories --> Mng. types. Add the OutlookContact.dic here. This phonebook is now available for all users after pressing the recover buttons in the 4980 customization. If you do a search in the client and a yellow book appears beside the result, then it was found in the personal contacts folder of the outlook client.

Make some tests before you deploy this feature at a customers side. And don't forget that you can only search within the PERSONAL CONTACT folder and NOT in public contact folders.

i have installed the full OTS Manager. Which OutlookContact.dic do you mean? I did search the entire workstation...

Alcatel Support told me its not possible to dial the personal contacts from 4980 Searchbar.
