I recently purchased an Alcatel-Lucent 6850-24 switch off ebay as an open item box. After getting it I realized that no power supply accompanied the unit. It appears that there are 4 different power supplied available for this unit. The p/n is 902457-40. Will you please recommend a power supply and a vendor? I know this is a little unusual, but I really have no where else to turn for answers as I am an AL novice. I live in the USA, so I will need a vendor domestically. Thanks, Matthew
Update: Through a little more reserach it appears that the PS-126W-AC unit or the PS-510W-AC unit will work. Is this correct? I am still also wondering where the best place to purchase this item new or used.
Power Supply for my Open Box AL 6850-24
Re: Power Supply for my Open Box AL 6850-24
there are 4 differnt PS
- 510W - for PoE with high power
- 390W - for PoE
- 126W - for AC
- 120W - for DC (48V)
All four supplies will work with your switch - but the switch is a non-PoE device. So the 126W-version is the enough for you.

Yes, I realized the 126W AC is what I want. I am still looking for vendors, its a hard item to find.
On another note, how could I power multiple OS6850-24? Is the 126W enough, or would I need to go up to the 510W?

Re: Power Supply for my Open Box AL 6850-24
For every device you need one PS (or a second PS as Backup-PS per switch). Normaly you order a 6850 for PoE (=390W), or High-Power-PoE (=510W), or non PoE (AC or DC) - and you will get a switch with PS - except order via ebay
.
The 510W will bring you no advantage.
