Hi,
I’ve OXE R9.0 with spatial redundancy. Site1: 10.4.4.3 & site2: 10.6.4.3.
I’m facing a problem with Polycom SIP stations and Xlite.
When calling from Polycom to Xlite and vise versa, it’s OK.
When calling from IP touch to Polycom (or to Xlite), it’s OK.
But when calling from Polycom (or Xlite) to IP touch it is NOT OK!
Ip touch 600 0000 with @ 10.4.4.12
Xlite 600 0007 with @ 10.4.4.57
Polycom 6002999 with @ 10.4.4.11

Try the following.

on the OXE netadmin -m option 15 activated internal name role server (or however it called) Do this in both call servers.
write also down the nodename
Check in MGR/SIP/Gateway which node name is in their should be the same as in netadmin -m option 15.

Now on the sip set or your pc with xlite.
Fill in by ip settings DNS 1 the main address of the xma and by DNS 2 the main address of xmb
instead of the ip address of the callserver for registering and inviting use the nodename.

This should be the setup in case of spatial redundancy.

Check also the codecs. I see in the Polucom setup
a=rtpmap:8 PCMA/8000
a=rtpmap:0 PCMU/8000
a=rtpmap:9 G722/8000
a=rtpmap:102 G7221/16000
Maybe you use extra domain G723 or G729 and then it will also not work.

Also on the sip dictionary, check if u have the dns name on the SIP URL domain.

also, in SIP Gateway, what should I put in: DNS local domain, and in fisrt and second IP @ ?

You may use Dns Sevrver, if no, Ack sip 'll not be receive by Oxe beacause of the hostname in the SDP/SIP

you have to check ip domains.

if you dont use any then you have all divices to domain 0. witch is with compresion or not (defined in the default voice algorithm)
Create new domain , make ip range for the ip devices and declare it for the extra domain with compression. also you have to enable g722 algorithem under system parameters.

In the traces the xlite and the polycon can understand ilbc,g722 but oxe doesn support by default.

in my polycom 6000 IP ALL CODEC with G722 ARE put to not used and only G711A AS 1 CHOICE/Mu SECONDE CHOICE and G723 THIRD ONE , G729 fourth one , and polycom , xlite and iptouch , tdm set are talking each one other (ofs also ). see you domain compression and adjust your polycom one according to it (normaly the order that i gave you is suffisent)

and polycim 6000 as seplos (sip extension)
you should manager default compression (g729 works)
