Can't acces 6400-P24 through console port...

Hello...
I can't acces an 6400 trough the console port, I don't have de switch's IP (the person who was configuring this device doesn't work at our bussines anymore) and I can't get it back.
I tried to acces the switch by the console port, at the first time I see all the boot process and at the end I jus can see a message saying "NIS are ready".
But it doesn't ask me for a username or a password. It just stops at that message and I can't write anything.
I have seen posts to set the default configuration to the switch but I don't know where to write those commands, well the main focus of my question is how can I set the default configuration to my switch without knowing the IPs switch ?
