Hi all

Few Questions on 7750 SR c-12:

1. Could any one give me how Physical structure of 7750 SR c-12 is built.

2. In "c-12", What 12 refers to? 12 slots ?

3. In one of the 7750 SR c-12 device, I saw IOM-XP is used to place MDAs. But Alcatel docs says that IOM is not supported in 7750 SR c-12, please explain.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Yes 12 is the slot number. 10 for IOMs (data) and 2 for SF/CPM cards (switch fabric - control processing module)

Please elaborate on the first question.

Hi Umutaltun

Are there 10 IOM or 12 IOMs? I some where heard that there will be 12 slots for IOM in 3 rows and 4 columns fashion. and the SF/CPM doesn't occupy slots.

Please confirm.

Also, confirm me whether IOM is supported in 7750 SR c-12?

Thanks in advance.

IOM is input output module.

SR -12 means 12 slots which has 2 slots reserved for CPM's (active and standby)
Only 10 slots are available for IOM's

IOM XP is supported on SR-12
