I think we have no one correct answer. Depends what you need.
If you want to play in lab - no problem (in common).
If you want to use for real customer - better to reinstall system SW for country what you need. You can see - during SW installation - installed common part and installed country depended part (some specific binary for specific board - f.e. for PCM2 and ATL8 boards in Russia).
You can have some problem from DB for another country - f.e. tones - for Germany and Russia we have different tones.
So, from my point of view - you can use database from another country for test or maintenance.

thanks vad for your reply,
I have a customer which have locations in different countries , As you mentioned it is better to use its own country database for each location.
But I have time problem so I prepared a standart backup which prefixes, phone featura cos etc. are ready. But when I want to restore this backup
for different locations it returns backup's country database naturally..I just wondered is there a way to manipulate this?
regards

why not get some text exports of the prefix's etc.. and import them in to the other systems? or if they are networked then use the audit tool?

hi ,
it takes about 2-3 hours for me to completely install a pbx (prefixes, voiceguides, access cos,8-9 series..etc..) by using imports.
But by using a standart backup it would take only 20-30 minutes.Isn't it a big problem to have a productive time for our business life ?
