How to block calls to an external number?

Hi there!

Many of our users call a certain external number which comes with a big price...

I would like to block that external number so that no one can call it no more, does anyone knows how to do this?

Thanks in advance!

Grtz,

Goldie

You have to configure the discriminator Rule regarding to the Public network COS of the User

At first - you have OXO or OXE PBX?
Discriminator - for OXE (OmniPCX Enterprise).

Rules - Translator/ ext. numbering plan/ discriminator/rules.

Hi Vad,

We have a OmniPCX systenm with enterprise license.

I am new to this system, so I don't know my way around there.
In the left pane I have following icons: Directory; Configuration, Accounting, Reports, Alarms, Scheduler and Maintenance.
However in non of them I can find "Rules".
Can you help me on the way a bit please?

Thanks in advance.

Grtz!

Create a new rule that says dialing xxx is only available to users in this area (COS) and give them this ARS route to take, in reality is this case barring, not take

Call Number 1900
Area Number 7 (no one assigned to this COS)
ARS Route List Number 9 (no one assigned to this ARS List)

Hi tjm0852,

thank you very much for your helful reply!

However I do not manage to get it working.

When I try to access the ARS-tree I get following error on every branch under ARS:
Get \Bornem\Translator::1\Automatic Route Selection::1\ARS Route list
ARS Route list : Lock 467(ARS): Software Protection Error

Can you tell me what cos means? I did not figure that out yet.

I tried this one:
Call number: 1207 (the number that needs to be blocked)
Numbering Area 7
ARS Route List Number 0
Sched nr -1
Number of digits 4

But it is not working

I guess, I will just have to inform the users they can not call that number and I'll check the monthly reports to pick out the ones that did call that number and give them a spanking ;-)

You do not have ARS license. You can still restrict calls using restriction rules with speed dial numbers.

Example: *0* trunk group seizure with overlapping for Trunk Group X

Speed dial 007 --> dialing *0*07 will be your seizure for 07 prefix. you can restrict what group of users accesses each speed dial.

Hi all,

What is the limit in creating the entries in a specific discriminator? Customer will have new entries coming now and then... they have approximately 3000 at the moment and it could increase. Is it license based?

Please hoping for an urgent reply.

Thanks and regards
