I am going to migrate my OXE from Release 6.0 to Release 10.0 and i am not going to use the same CPU 6...i want to know the minimum hard disk and RAM requirements for release 10.0, is there any document for this information??

hi, max ram on cpu6 is 128Mb and max harddrive is 80GB. hard drives are only formated to 80 if the disk is larger.

how much physical room does it need also ?

I have an r10.0 DVD and it doesn't seem to fit on a CPU6 with 128 of ram, I have even tried spanning it across floppy disks but it still doesn't fit and it took 4 1/2 days of changing floppies to find that out. please help.

hi, you don't install the version via the floppy. check the DVD and you should find an application called "PC installer". install that to a PC and the use it to serve the CPU 6 via ethernet.

Try the search in this forum for information on installing software.

Thanks Murraya. I still have the problem because the slotting for a DVD I can not find in the chassis. Can I solder a CD player to the backplane. I am careful.

There is an section with Documentation! is not posible to tell you everything how to install it..with alcatel products you have to study..

I was almost going to give directions on soldering DVD to backplan

so, if I can't get it off the DVD and you won't tell me how to connect the player to the chassis, is it possible to type it in ? I used to do that with my Commodore PET and VIC 20 for moon lander and well it worked.
