AARE message attribute meaning?

Post by alex454 »

Hello all,

I am working on an Alcatel OmniPCX Office R6.0.

When I send a AARQ request with the following values:
=================================================
AARQ:
version="'1'B"
application-context-name=ApplicationContextName:
application-context-name=1.3.12.0.218

user-information=AssociationInformation:
application-context-name=External:
direct-reference=1.3.12.0.218.200
encoding=ChoiceExternal:
single-ASN1-type=ACSEUserInformationForCSTA:
oldDefinition=OldACSEUserInformationForCSTA:
CSTAVersion="'11'B"
cSTAFunctionsRequiredByApplication=CSTAFunctionality:
switchingFunctionServices="'111001111110011111101'B"
eventReportServices="'01111111111111011110001111111111101000'B"
bidirectionalServices="'01'B"
statusReportingServices="'11110'B"

cSTAFunctionsThatCanBeSupplied=CSTAFunctionality:
bidirectionalServices="'01'B"

I receive the following AARE:
===================================
AARE:
protocol-version="'1'B"
application-context-name=ApplicationContextName:
application-context-name=1.3.12.0.218

result=INTEGER:
result=2

result-source-diagnostic=AssociateSourceDiagnostic:
acse-service-user=INTEGER:
result=13
==========================================

What does the result equals 2 and 13 means in AARE??

Is there any specific documentation available that describes the ACSE login?

Thanks in advance,

Alex

Hm - need to go for ECMA-179 and see an ASN.1 for csta phase I, havn''t done that for OXO (phase I) - but "2" should simply mean "answer #2" - from some range of answers.
Why you go so deep low level? there are many APIs that are ready to use...

Hi,

I am not 100% sure, but i think that it means reject/authentication-failure
Did you manage connect?
