As of yesterday, we've upgraded our OmniPCX to R10

I installed the 4760 client software on my computer (W7 X86),(installed as admin!), but I cannot connect to the PBX. All I'm getting is "Unable to connect to server".

I'm connecting with the PBX's IP adress (to avoid DNS naming problems), on port 636.

Soft works fine when started from XP management PC that is delivered with the upgrade.

PBX is reachable, as telnet to same IP works fine. There is no firewall in between, machines are on differten subnets, but traffic is routed between the two networks (as telnet is functioning)

Tried running "runmc.bat" either as administrator or as regular user, with no luck.

Found a logfile in my client dir, with following errors:

Anyone an idea how to solve this??

Ummmm where to start, 4760 client needs to connect to a 4760 server not the PBX, so do you have a 4760 server? or do you have the licences in your OPS. We used to have the ability to use a web browser connected to the PBX ( was called 4760i) but they stopped this.

My mistake... Tried connecting to PBX first ..

But.. Connecting to server doens't work either. Also getting "unable to connect to server".
It takes longer before the connection fails.

Machine is reachable, "pingable", has VNC on it and screen can be viewed remotely...

4760 installed on server, and connecting to loopback 127.0.0.1 works fine

Did you also upgrade Omnivista? R5.2 required for OXE R10.

Hi. You need to use the server FQDN (youserver.mydomain.com) not the server IP address. Regards

@tot3nkopf: Yes, evertyhing was upgraded...
@tchino.rn: no change, tried connecting to omnivista in stead of ip adress (and yes: "omnivista" resolves to that IP), no luck. BTW: on local server client connects to 127.0.0.1

Hi. Uninstall OV client and Java. Install OV Client again. You will install the Java release you need. Reboot PC and try to connect again. Regards

I got the same behavior and same error message (post 1)

Digging a bit the issue sent me into a rights/security trouble.

I found that , for me, it was a deny of modifiying thing into Java folder.
I just changed the folder rights (C:\Program Files (x86)\Java) to allow all users to "modify" this one. -> then I was able to log on onto the 4760.
