Hi

If you have Telneted to a switch, is there a CLI command or such that will allow you to wake up a PC that is connected to the switch you have Telneted to and you have the PC's MAC address?

Hi,
as far as I know, AOS doesn't support sending any magic packets. May be you need special software such wake-on-lan.net for that?

Good afternoon and thank you.

Tell me how would one ask Alcatel to look into this matter and if possible build a WOL feature into their switches?

Hi,
wake on lan is supported by Alcatel, there is only no command to sent special magic packets from the cli, all you need is a WoL server. The magic packet is send by a WoL Server which runs an application that generates these frames. If the WoL Server and the computer to be waken up are on the same LAN, no configuration is needed on OS6850 as the WoL Server will broadcast the Magic packet to all the devices in the LAN.
