Has anyone experiences with the 40Gig modules for the 6900?

Is it possible to have the vfl (bandwidth) using this modules?

Any real world experiences (stability/SFP Quality ...?

Yes, the VFL connection can run on 40G - however you shouldn't mix different speeds for VFL connections.

You can (in a VC of more than 2 Switches) mix speeds, but inside one VFL (the link between two switches) all the speeds must be the same.

So in a VC of 3 switches:
Ch1: VF-link1 (to CH2) 2*40G
Ch1: VF-link2 (to CH3) 2*10G

perfectly fine. not ok would be
Ch1: VF-link1 (to CH2) 1*40G and 1*10G

Hi all,
we have 11 OS6900 VCs running, VF links are using 40G Ports on OS-HNI-U6 or OS-QNI-U3. The switches were setting up about 18 months ago and we have no problems with the VFs. We are using DACs with a length up to 5m.

Best regards
