Can't deactivate 'fwd to VM'
The option to deactivate the forward to voicemail is not appearing on any of my telephone sets. I heard that it has to do with a crashed cmisd process but I am unsure if cmisd is related. Does anyone have any insight into what may be causing this? Addtionally, the ability to forward one set to another set is also unavailable. It worked just fine yesterday and now it does not. Any thoughts?

Nope. I can login to the 4760, but I cannot access the 'Configuration' module for my PCX. After attempting to connect for 10 minutes, 4760 replies, 'Connection to administration server failed. : No response."

The problem was solved by a reboot of the OmniPCX. I'm just trying to understand what service is crashing, why its not registering an alarm, and what the cause was.

SOLVED. From my documentation:
-----
Only follow the steps below if there is an issue with the system during the day, be aware that the system always turns off the “mao” when running backups, and turns it back “on” after it is complete, this is usually schedule in the system to run early morning or on weekends – depending on how the system is set up. On occasion the database services do not restart after a backup session has occurred. During this period, system changes are not allowed as the changes cannot be written to the database.
1. Make sure that the “mao = on” when the mao = off no changes are allow in the database, this is why you could not make any changes this morning, while trying to un-forward the phone.
a. Run the fallowing command to verify that the mao is on: “ mao –a”
(101)Main-cpu-2> mao -a
BROADCAST is off
MAOAGENT running process 0
MAO is off – this needs to be on, if it is set to off
MAO trace : off
Trace on BRODCAST is off
Synchronization 4400-47xx is on
b. If the mao= off, you need to active the mao by running the command “mao on”:
(101)Main-cpu-2> mao on
2. To verify that the mao is on running again run: “mao –a”
(101)Main-cpu-2> mao -a
BROADCAST is off
MAOAGENT running process 0
MAO is on – this is on now
MAO trace : off
Trace on BRODCAST is off
Synchronization 4400-47xx is on
