Connection problems...

Hello Guys,
RHE4 U4 Otuc 4.1
We have some connection problems between OTUC and User Workstations.
They can make an update of the 4980 software, but cant login.
"Login again"
They can Ping the otuc and dns is also ok. Connection-Problem... they have downloaded the new firmware direct from otuc to workstation... only login failed.
Maybe a firewall or something like this?
Any idea or experiences?
PS: The websoftphone is currently blocked through a firewall.. or a misconfiguration from the proxy of the customer.

Login again? Seems by some reason the response from the server is maybe too slow. How long does the response time when pinging is?
Are you on the LAN? on a WAN? on TC Documentation section is a flow of the 4980 application and the ports it need to be openened in a behind firewall configuration. Check it out.

Hi,
usually we are useing traffic sniffer (inside LAN, WAN devices) and filter of interested IP addresses. There You can immediately see where communication fails.

If WSP not working, then nothing is working!
Every authentication equal Heavy Client, Extension or WSP will be done over Web port 80.
UnifiedLogin!!!

The Login is done over web! The myaccess.dll doesn't care about the return codes, 404 or 401, every return code witch is not 200 is an Login Error!
If the WSP doesn't work the the login to the 4980 also doesn't work.

Ok. Take it easy dude

I know how stuff works but giving alf more possible ideas may help him more.
