Is there anything that I could do or just RMA?

Yeah...RMA is your option here.

I've had a similar experience and you're pretty much stuck.

There is nothing more? It is quite unlikely that it would stop at that point - without even an error message?!

Yes, there is nothing more, no error appears, just stops. It's the second time that it happens.
