Omni vista 4760 Date & time change

Hi,

I've done some searching on the forum but can't find a concrete solution.

How do you change the time that displays on the phones ? I'm assuming it's done via the OmniVista management application which changes it on the PABX ?

I can't find the setting anywhere. Phones are like 4 minutes out.

I'm assuming there is not NTP setting ?

I think you need to correct time in PBX.

at first check - connect to PBX with mtcl account and check date/time with "date" command.

After this you can change time:
- or with "date" command under root account
- or (under mtcl account) - swinst/ expert menu/ system management/ date&time update/ set date&time - this is right way.
- or configuration via 4760 - edit System - you have item "date/time"

And last one - if you want to have right time in PBX - use NTP feature - swinst/ expert menu/ system management/ date&time update:
- manage your time zone (if not managed before - you need system reset after this);
- declare NTP server;
- wait 10 min;
- check with ntpq and ntptrace commands - Ok or not.
