Muting ringer on an Alcatel 4020

Hi fellows,

I have a not so common problem with a customer. I have an extension (alcatel 4020) that won't be used anymore but can't remove it yet since it still receives some calls that are supervised and picked up by other people. Everything fine up to that point, but now i was asked to mute the ringer of this extension since it bother the other workers in the office. I checked in the pabx for an option to adjust the volume of the handset but since it's a quite old system (alcatel 4400) it seems not possible at all. From the handset itself i tried to reduce the ringer volume, however it won't go lower than 2.

Is there an option or secret key combination to lower the ringer volume to 0 from the handset?

Best regards! :D

It is a prefix that can be defined. you can configure then a key for this purpose.
