Hello,
We have a whole bunch of switches in our company, including +700 Alcatel switches.
Finding a MAC-Address is not always easy and we have therefore started using MACTRACK, from Cacti.
While MACTRACK is able to read all the MAC-Addresses on the switch(es), we are unable to exclude the Uplinks (automatically, just like it does with HP, Cisco, etc). This can be quite a headache, as the port numbers don't always get translated 1 to 1.
SNMP has never been easy on the Alcatels...
Has anyone used MACTRACK with Alcatel Switches? Maybe willing to share his scanning function(s)?
