Trouble with 6450 after Upgrade Oxe to R11.0.1

Hi

Today i made a Upgrade from R10.1 1 to R11.0.1. After the reboot only 50% of ipphone working the other Phone stay 2/5 Initiation phase. Reboot of 6450 and oxe without success.
show log swlog:
LLDP warning lldpProcessNetPolicyTLV: Error, Net Policy VLAN ID 4095 invalid on Port 3/2.

so we decide use vlan mac range to assignd the vlan however the phones stay at 2/5. Then we disable the strict vlan option in the ipphone 4028 and the phone start working. But the ipphone working from the beginning have strict vlan enable. If i change a working Phone to switch port there the phone stay at 2/5 the strict vlan has disable to get the phone working. It seems that is something on the switchport but i have no idea what i have looking for.
Phonetyp 4028
6450: 6.6.4.177

Have somebody a idea whats the reason or how can i find the mistake.

it seems that the Oxe sends lldp-med messages for the vlan. If so than your phone try to 802.1q-tag in this vlan. I assume that you havent created a lldp-policy in your switch.
Easiest workaround is to disable lldp in the network settings of your phones manually.

Hi Silvio;

we install the system 6 months ago with lldp settings like this:

lldp network-policy 1 application voice vlan 60 l2-priority 5 dscp 46
lldp chassis tlv med network-policy enable
lldp chassis med network-policy 1

after the update of the OXE some Phones working fine other stay at 2/5. So we decide to delete the lldp and use mac range

vlan 60 mac range 00:80:9f:00:00:00 00:80:9f:ff:ff:ff

after this change there are no lldp warning anymore.

But the phones stay at 2/5 as long strict vlan was enable.

Strange that some port work and other not.

I don't know the reason of your issue really.

In my knowledge "strict vlan" means that only the phone vlan itself is allowed. if the phone is tagged with vlan 60 than only this tagged packets are allowed (ask an Oxe specialist about the correct function).

With lldp-policy your phones where tagged in vlan 60. Than you must tag also the switch ports - permanently (vlan 60 802.1q 1/1) or better at mobile ports with "vlan 60 mobile tag enable").
With your vlan rule depending from the mac range the vlan 60 packets are untagged. The phone itself doesn't know about the vlan 60.

Maybe some of your phones has still the vlan information. You have to deactivate the vlan in the phone network setting than manually.

hope you will find a solution for you with this infos
regards
Silvio

Hi ,

I've exactly the same problem, on 6450 switch with mobile tag enable
I'm in AOS 6.6.4.192.R01, in wich Realese did you upgrade ? and it's linked to the strict vlan in the IPhone which is enable by default.

But the phone stay turned off on his ethernet port , and you change the ethernet port on the same switch and it works fine.

I've opened an SR, but as usual, it complicated to have the correction.
