Hi
We are running Alcatel IP softphone 10.0.5 and works fine on the internal network. But as it is a softphone the need is to be able to connect from anywhere. The company is using Direct access, but there is no connection even all other company stuff is working fine.
I have been told the ports 32512(udp)and 32767(udp)must be open, which they are, to get the ip softphone running through the internet.
Can anyone help or confirm that it works with direct access and that the softphone some IPV6 as it should, before it is direct access compatible ?

Alcatel? Here? Where? lol. we have no affiliation with them. We are users too. And single UDP port for RTP? Don't think so. Read docs or search post about making a phone work over VPN and you will find the answer

Anyone get this working by now. trying to figire out, if the 11.0.30 Softphone version is IPv6 compatible.
Re: Ip softphone - and microsoft direct access
Is it possible to enable IPV6 traffic from the Alcatel IP Desktop Softphone application? We have Microsoft Direct Access setup, and are trying to get this app to work over the Direct Access IPV6 tunnel. Some applications we have already worked with need to have settings, environment variables, or reg keys set in order to enable IPV6 traffic. Is this possible with the Alcatel Ip Desktop Softphone (11.1.22 is what I was given)
