Hi Stoffen,
Do you know the procedure how to acquire licensed software from Alcatel?
Or
If you know the cost for individual private user for learning purposes ?

Thanks,
Aman

Hi.
I have heard a lot of prices, but not confirmed any..
At SRx Madrid they spoke about 400 USD per VM for vSIM.

Procedure would be to contact your ALU contact/sales representative, or closest ALU partner / office and apply there.

For individual learning purposes, I guess the price is the same (400 USD).
The best way to find out would be to try to purchase the licenses .. :)

Thank you so much Stoffen,
One more related question? Do you know which department to contact? I have to buy it personally, and if know the email address or phone number of the related department, then it would be great!
Thank you again.

I'm not sure what department that have the sales responsibility, but I would go towards the NFV section.
https://www.alcatel-lucent.com/solutions/nfv

You can click through a "survey" that I guess, will put you in contact with a sales person for your country / region :)

Thanks again Stoffen,
The site you have suggested, I have already sent an email twice almost one month ago. However, they never even bothered sending a response let alone sharing the price or even saying or suggesting anything!
Thank you anyways.
I have a system where i can run up to 8 of these 7750 devices, however, i cannot finish much as these devices get rebooted after each hour to do some effective work done!

Aman

Hi,

I am trying to boot VMware image. I deployed the .ovf image ok.
When I boot I get a few lines and it stops on "Booting..."

I saw that on the KVM image you may have to redirect a serial console port but I can't manage to get it working.

As I have no shell I am unable to say if boot is finished and I can't get to basic configuration.

Did you manage to use the VMware image ?

Thanks

Anyone tried SROS in VIRL? I had it working on the 15 node version so I upgraded to the 30 node and now the usual crashing has returned. I'm having flashbacks :)
