Description of the problem :

The switch OS6450 don't end the boot process, nothing is displayed on hyperterminal screen.
The Fan is working but with I think with a full regime

The operation of the fan still the same from the start : no change in the level of the volume of sound

Status led is like following :
OK = OFF
PWR = Solid green

Once the faulty switch is powered, the PWR LED become solid green.
But when I powered a working switch, the STK LED become solid green first, after moment the OK LED is flashing during for a moment, when POST is finished all LED becomes SOLID GREEN.

Try reloading the OS on the switch .

No access to the switch : nothing is showed on the screen of the hyperterminal.
I think the switch don't boot.

If you reboot/power off/ power on a switch and nothing shows it is most likely that you have a wrong console cable or setting.

Have you checked your cable with another device? Remember Alcatel Adapter+ Ethernetcable, 9600/N/1.
No Cisco Cable, no WLAN-Controller Console cable.

I think i had 1 out of 500 switches which was stuck before even posting uboot/miniboot in that case all port LEDs were lit orange.

if you have the correct cable You could also try to change the speed settings of the console, maybe they got changed (but afaik you should have see "garbage" in that case)

If everything fails RMA the device.

do you know where to get this console cable from? I have a new project with 18 switches 6450 and no console cable! please advice on where to buy it.
