3rd party IP Phones on Omni office?

Hello All,
Bare with me as I have only taken on the OXO product. I have a potential install for a total VoIP solution. The customer has existing Mitel 5020 hardphones (SIP) and wanted to take these over to the new OXO switch
Although I appreciate that will be no support on these handsets from Alcatel,these phones still support SIP, hence can they be used? If so, do Alcatel charge a 3rd party provider licence in order to use the terminals?
