Hi all,

Has anyone used the NetOP remote control s/w from Alcatel. I have the CD that they ship, but it doesn't appear to have the guest s/w available.

Has anyone used it? Does anyone know where to get the gust license or client connection s/w

I'm not really sure but it sounds like you use this software:
http://www.netop.com/

And you download the client and buy license at the sam place...

All the software from Netop is available on the CD, but if you don't have a valid licensekey the guest version this one is not installed.

Alcatel only supplies a host license with the cd.
This is enough to install the software in the 4760.

In France they have a guest license, so they can remotely make a connection to the 4760.

If you want to use the software aswel, you will have to purchase a guest license from the website mentioned above: http://www.netop.com.
You only need a key and no new cd. You can use the same cd that is delivered with the Alcatel shipment to install the guest version.

We are using it from the beginning that Alcatel shipped it and are very satisfied with it. Netop is much better than some other products like VNC (Even though this also works fine, and uses less memory) or PcAnywhere.
The purchased guest licenses have payed of within a few days!
There is no need to drive all the way to a customer when there are problems on the 4760.
We just contact to the site (We place call-backmodems on all our customersites) with PPP and take over the 4760 to solve the problem.
