Upgrade OTMS 1.3 to 2.0 fails

Hello,

I need to migrate an OTMS-V 1.3 to 2.0. I installed new virtual server from the scratch. Everything as described in the documentation. It runs just fine with blank database.
But after I restored the customers database, some services don't start anymore. e.g. chameleon, cms, omp.
I also upgraded external FlexLM to latest version.

Any ideas?

If you changed hostname and some parameters then is not an upgrade, is a re-hosting which has a more complex process and I guess it is not documented as PS will be needed.

thanks for your reply.
I didn't change any options. Hostname, IP-Adress and anything else is exactly the same as with the old OTMS R1.3.
I did everything as described in official Alcatel documents, but it doesn't work at all.

Hi,
ALU say for 1.3 to 2.0, you need to install 2.0 from scratch and restore database (Some manipulations had to be done before)
(Release note 2.0, Upgrade 1.3 to 2.0 Part)

1. Update of 8770 from 8770 R1.3 to 8770 R2.0.1
2. Backup OT R1.3 using 8770 or OT script
3. Installation from scratch of OT R2.0.1
4. If OTES server needs to be declared Hotfix Serviceability - ALF0001410510464902 must
be installed.
5. Post installation
6. Restore OT R1.3 backup
7. Installation of R2.0.1 hotfix if required
8. Reboot of the system

I know that and I did exactly what is described in documentation. I tried several things and read all documents several times. But still no success.

Am I the first migrating an OTMS from 1.3 to 2.0?

I am open for any kind of help.

What does logs say?

could you please tell me, what logs to look at?
I read about 30 log files and couldn't find the root cause of the issue.

Today ALU support had a look and couldn't find anything, too.

Last try will be:

- Upgrade OTMS R1.3.000.61 to R1.3.000.91
- Backup with latest R1.3 release
- restore of this backup and cross fingers, that it works this time

I thought, that perhaps someone here also had this issue and could help me or give me a hint. If I can find the root cause and solve it, I will post it and also tell you the exact procedure to do a migration.

One question:
Before upgrading otms 1.3 to 2.0 did you upgrade 8770 2.0 with all patches?
