Alcatel Unleashed

My company picked up some used 7750-SR and one of the units starts to boot and then gives me an error message stating "Do not know what chassis type this is!" and then it reboots. He is the complete output that I see before the unit reboots.

I did I brief search on google without finding anything as to what causes this and how to resolve it. It doesn't even look like it is getting the point of reading the CF.

hopefully someone has seen this before and knows how to resolve it.

It seems like its bricked.

What type of chassis is this?

Do you have a service contract with alcatel?
Running TimOS 3.0.R1.. Thats really old, even with service contract my guess this is out-of-everyting regarding support and hw assistance.

That was an upgrade problem that caused the chassis to fail with

Have a look, and see if ALU provides a solution there.

unfortunately their solution did not work for me. Looks like I have a nice heavy paper weight on my hands.
