Hello all, I'm new to this forum and based on the lack of information for ALU SRs I'm glad I finally found this site.

I have an issue that continues to stump me. I have an IMM5 card that is not being auto recognized by the OS, and furthermore doesn't even appear as a configuration option in my SR-7 chassis running release 6.1/b1/R2.

I'm wondering if this is perhaps because I'm not at the minimum supported s/w release to support this card type??? The only problem is I can't seem to find the minimum s/w requirements for that card anywhere.

I am running chassis mode "d" currently, and below are the options I get when trying to configure this manually.

A:7750# configure card 4 card-type ....{iom-20g|iom2-20g|iom-20g-b|iom3-xp imm48-1gb-sfp|imm48-1gb-tx|imm8-10gb-xfp|imm4-10gb-xfp}

You are correct, you need a minimum of Release 8 for support for the 5x10GE IMM.

This information is available in the release notes for 8.0R1 or above. It includes a table of supported hardware where products for which support has just been added is printed in bold.
