Hi Chandra,

You probably need to read up a bit on buffer mechanics but basically a buffer under-run alert is raised if the buffer becomes empty. Once the data stored in the buffer reaches the play-out level, the buffer starts to play-out packets. Once the play-out has started, it will continue until the buffer is emptied. If an empty state occurs, a buffer under-run alarm is raised. This is possibly due to excessive round-trip delay in your network between the 7705s or the buffer size is too small to account for the maximum expected round trip time variation.

Underrun could be caused mainly by two reasons: packet jitter or timing. Do you also see overrun on the same SAP? How does it look like at the other end of cpipe, are there underrun or overrun on other SAP?

Underrun and overrun may occur if the equipment is not properly grounded.
