Problem with 2 os6900 virtual chassis.

Hello, i'm on a client which have 2 6900 switches (OS6900-X20), and they want those two in a redundancy configuration.
I read virtual chassis was the answer here, so i used the Cli reference guide, but in the part of asigning members for the vfl link, i assigned one member port, then when i wanted to assign the second port, i got a message "state port is not fixed" and couldn't add it. The cables for the vfl links are already connected, i'm going to use ports 19 and 20 on each of the switches. Later on, i'm going to be on site to take the exact message displayed.
Please, if anybody there can give me a hand, it would be great.

ERROR: Operation not allowed as port state is not fixed (@3488)

I'll try with the 7.3.4 r01 version available in the business portal.
Any thoughts on the "fixed ports" message?

I haven't tried to do it the old way.
7.3.4 is what I'm running
I connected two together and it worked by accident
then I was mad because I had to search how to remove the SPB vlans.

if you connect them out of the box in a pre 7.3.4 release, the switch will configure itself with SPB and set these links up as spb links. You should disable the auto-fabric on the switch and remove all configuration it has done itself. Then try to configure it again as designed by yourself.
Now my first thing I do when I receive a OS6900 out of the box, I disable auto-fabric.

Thanks for all the replies.
I found a video on the alcatel youtube channel that helped me to get the virtual chassis configuration.
