All,,,have a 9000 chassis running flat stp and mstp. I belive the vlan limit is 4094 (as it running flat stp) but am getting an error when adding any vlan after the 252 1x1 limit. This doesnt sound correct, anyone seen similar ??

In BoilerPlate for the 9000 I have found the following:

Up to 4094 VLANs can coexist when running in Flat STP mode and 252 in 1x1 STP mode.
