4635 Voicemail Issue 24th November

Hi guys

I am not very much familiar with the Alcatel 4635 Voicemail and i have come to know that it needs to be upgraded etc before the 24th November. Please if you can let me know what we supposed to do. We have some sites with A4635H and A4635J. The software ranges from R10.1 to R11.0

Have support contract and then just upgrade. There is an Alcatel note from months ago asking to do the upgrade. If you have no support contract you are screwed up.

hi, not completely screwed :)
with SPS 9-0-11.1 basically free just order 3BA09809JB
without SPS all H systems and j systems 9.0-9.1 order 3BA09809JA. j systems without SPS 10.0-11.1 same code as with SPS.

download software from BPWS, order the required licence and install.
note no extra licence is required on the OXE.

Regarding this issue.

We have some hotel systems that are not currently using their VM systems, but there are some concerns that any other services are affected, i.e. the wake-up service. do you now of any service, other than Voice mail and 4635 Automated Attendant that could be affected by the bug?

Only reported one was VM

In fact, Wake-up service is related to 4635 (as voice guides are played from VM) but not affected, I have checken and tests have been made with OK result.

Hi everybody,
I need to apply this upgrade to an 4635H-2 rel 5.4.4, in the docs is not clear if is needed to reinstall or just upgrade, and in the case of upgrade if we must restore the voice mail database once it's done.

If someone has already done it, I will appreciate your comments.

I have performed an upgrade on 4635J ( VPU5) (after a backup though) using U option. That worked fine for me :)

Any idea if the patch will work on 4635 - VPU5 (A4635J) Rev. 1, Software Release ...... 5.3.1? This VM system is installed in OXE 6.0.1

This customer has a very old and out of date system, but they have no money for upgrades.
