OPS files loading on older OXE release

Does anybody knows is it possible to load OPS files for R8.0 on OXE older release R6.2?
Customer need to increase qnt. of users, but price for release migration depends on qnt. of users. Its better to make migration first and increase qnt. of users later. But I don't want to migrate right know due to reason that a lot of products works on this OXE like CCIVR, Nice, Genesys. Its better to wait for some later OXE patches, not first one.
Does anybody tried to load OPS files on OXE older release at all ?
Regards.

That's what i wanted to do on my first R8 customer - it's not possible, because the file format of the swk file has changed (higher OPS limits). The OXE doesn't recognize this file.
It should be possible up to R7.1 down to R5.1.
My boss is thinking about buying the R8 migration and modify this key down to R7 and buy some small feature (like call by name licence) with actis, but i don't know, if this is a good idea...

You don't need to buy, You can choose in Actis OXE R62 ( I hope ) and to export MAO, but I can't check that because don't have real customer with R8.0

You can modify the release in Actis, yes, but the swk file will be left untouched on export. You can't really change this file.
This would work with the old unix releases (and of course in older actis version, the current doesn't shows versions below 7).

I am imported OPS files with R6.2 and Actis shows R6.2, I can upgrade to R8.0, and later SIMULATE ADDON with R8.0=>R6.2, but I don't know what will happen in reality.
Mgoegel, do You have any OPS files with R80?

Yes i have one customer with R8, so trust me, i've tried it :-|.

You even can try it with an 6.2 key and make addon down to 6.0 or 6.1. After MAO export you can compare the swk files and you'll see, they are identically (which would work there, because you can drive older releases with newer OPS, as long your swk is in an compatible file format).
