Hi,

i hope you could help me. I was going to install oxe 11.1 on esx server 5.5.
I followed official alcatel document and the information here in this board, for example the this video

DHCP and PXE works fine. The linux.ram file is beeing uploaded via tftp, than suddenly the virtual machine restart and the upload starts again .. loop.

i already tried smaller memory amount (128,256,512 and 1GB) in case the linux kernel goes into panic beacuse of to much ram

so far i was not able getting past the linux.ram upload.

I there anyone wo might have a suggestion or who already had this problem?

change the disk size 30 gb not right change it to 40 and try again

hi, unfortunately it did not work with either 30gb or 40gb.
I managed to pause in the exact moment whenn the rebook occurs and i got these to lines output:
Loaded 6545719 bytes (6392 kb) successfully.
Warning : undi_close() failed 1

Weird, that time I did that video on my PC. Will try on Esx and will see if any difference. You sure those files are not corrupted?

That what i am beginning to think too. I just rerequested the oxe files from our supplier and will keep you informed

Ok It realy was a corrupt file in the software I got from my vendor. I got a new Iso and it works.
For all other who wants to give it a try I got it working with the following specs:

ESXi 5.5 / Vcenter 6
Hardwareversion 10
1 CPU
1024MB RAM
40GB HDD
VMXNET3 NIC

PCInstaller 4.1
OXE 11.1 (30131.a)

PC Insaller set to Bladeserver and Network set to Corporate, than adding the MAC Adress.
We ha dto stop another PXE Server that was also running in Network for OS deployment.

What kind of HDD did you created on the ESX (try IDE)? Are you using the template provided by ALE?

What template? I tested by creating a simple one and doing same steps as on VMware desktop app and works. An IDE HD is enough.

Yes it is. However if I am not mistaken there are also templates available with BiCS or OTBS.

However I do not think that is his issue. Maybe:

I used no template, I just created the vm from Scratch with the esx wizard. Works fine
