OS6900 VRRP
Posted: 03 Feb 2016 12:18
Hi All
I'm setting up a VRRP environment between 2 brand new AOS 6900-T20, and i'm trying to associate the VRRP to a track. However this is not working
For testing purposes i'm tracking an interface but when i remove the cable from that interface the VRRP master doesn't change
What can I be missing?
Here's the configuration
VRRP Master:
ip load vrrp
vrrp track 1 admin-state enable priority 200 port 1/1/1
vrrp 20 20 priority 255 preempt interval 1
vrrp 20 20 address 10.11.1.1
vrrp 20 20 track-association 1
vrrp 20 20 admin-state enable
vrrp 100 100 priority 255 preempt interval 1
vrrp 100 100 address 10.10.0.254
vrrp 100 100 track-association 1
vrrp 100 100 admin-state enable
VRRP Backup
ip load vrrp
vrrp 20 20 priority 100 no preempt interval 1
vrrp 20 20 address 10.11.1.1
vrrp 20 20 admin-state enable
vrrp 100 100 priority 100 no preempt interval 1
vrrp 100 100 address 10.10.0.254
vrrp 100 100 admin-state enable
(In this switch, i've tried with preemption and no preemption, and the result was the same)
When i disconect the cable from the port 1/1/1 i see the track status changing from this:
-> show vrrp track
Track Admin Oper BFD
ID Policy State State Pri Status
-----+---------------------------------------+----------+------+-----+---------
1 PORT 1/1/1 Enabled Up 200 Disabled
To this:
-> show vrrp track
Track Admin Oper BFD
ID Policy State State Pri Status
-----+---------------------------------------+----------+------+-----+---------
1 PORT 1/1/1 Enabled Down 200 Disabled
However, the switch stays with the master role:
-> show vrrp statistics
Checksum Errors : 0,
Version Errors : 0,
VRID Errors : 0
VRID VLAN State UpTime Become Master Adv. Rcvd
----+----+----------+----------+-------------+----------
20 20 Master 134791 1 0
100 100 Master 132811 1 0
Thank you very much
Regards
