7750 SR7 10G Maxing at 60%

We have a 1 port 10G MDA that is hitting a max download of about 5.75G during peak usage and I cannot figure out why. I have gone through testing with our upstream service provider and they have verified no bottle necks on their side. Anyone run into something like this before ?

In show port detail are you seeing any drops in the queue statistics or are the MDA discard statistics non-zero?

Sorry for the delay, been doing a lot of t/s but the problem remains. I even purchased a newer IOM3-XP and MDA and swapped my uplink. There are no discards whatsoever. Despite the 10G bi-di uplink, traffic caps at 5.75G during peak usage. Users experience lag, dropout, etc. We use a combo of ies service with vpls / sap lags, aggregated via VSM card. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,
Do you see any errors/alarms in logs 99 and 100? Also in which mode is your chassis running (show chassis and look for chassis mode).

In the last couple days I have discovered that the source of this problem is a Versatile Service Module MDA. This device bridges layer 2 and layer 3 services, for us it is bridging IES and VPLS for our end users (Alcatel BPON customers) and due to the way it is configured processes our overall data stream twice. So while our uplink is 6G running over a 10G link, the VSM is having to process 12G. Older models (like ours) have a bandwidth limitation of 10G. There is a newer model VSM-CCA-XP that can do 25G. My understanding is that you can stack these to increase bandwidth. I have purchased a second and will be installing in a couple days.

Just an update, this did in fact resolve the problem.
