DID call transfer issue

Dear all,

I am facing an issue on release 11 of OXE, I have SIP DID/DOD. Whenever we recieve a call on any extension number via DID trunk the call lands on it and if we want to transfer it to any other extensions it does so without any issues, whereas when we recieve the call on Attendant group which is also part of the DID range, we are able to answer the call but once we transfer it the call gets disconnected as soon as we try to pick it up. What could be the cause or the resolution for this?

Regards,
Xero

You need to capture logs and see the reason there. Magic balls out of service

Dear Cavagnaro,

yes, you are right, I have captured the logs and figured that the issue is related to the refer message which OXE is sending in case of not working call but I am unable to understand this behaviour maybe I am missing something. I am attaching both the traces if you can spare some time and go through these :

working :

Calling number 549191059
Called number 012314599 (4599 is an extension)
Transferred extension 4744

Not working :

Calling number 549191059
Called number 012314444 (4444 is translated to AA100 which is an attendant group)
Transferred extension 4744

Dear Murraya,

I have tried to change the operator group from AA100 to 1444 and attendant from A100 to 1100 but still the call is getting disconnected as soon as we try to answer, I am seeing the refer message in the traces which I am not sure why OXE is sending to the proxy server only in the case of call transfer from operator, while in case of cal transfer from extension it is not the case.

Hi,
For me the problem is on the Refer. Why OXE is asking the provider to make a REFER to 4744. This number is to short to be a public number. check your configuration.

Dear Sadim,

Thank you for giving your time on looking at the traces, could you please give some hint what part of configuration should I check? I checked the attended transfer in External SIP gateway as well as the some other options in system, other systems, sip parameters, and also I changed the method to update and re invite in sip gateway but still the issue remains the same. Would appreciate your support.

Somehow when the oxe tries to transfer, it seems that she is using SIP-ABC and not SIP-ISDN. You need to check the reason of this.
Also you can try to set the Attended Transfer parameter to No at the External SIP Gateway (restart sipmotor)
